The end is adorable 🥹

Election Day is tomorrow, and our most precious resources are on the ballot.

This year has been rough for public lands. Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante were cut by roughly 90%. Wild horse roundups got more frequent and more aggressive. Independent investigations found BLM loopholes that let horses get shipped overseas for slaughter and public land keeps getting sold off for mining, drilling, development, and yes, data centers.

It’s been a lot. But here’s the good news: you get a say on Tuesday.

Midterms decide who sits in the House and Senate, plus your governor, mayor, city supervisor, and school board. Fewer than half of eligible voters usually show up for midterms, so the people who do vote have serious pull. Wild places only stay wild because people show up for them.

Vote on Tuesday, November 3rd. For horses, for wildlife, and for access to public lands now and long into the future.

Comment VOTE and we’ll send you everything you need: how to find your polling place, how to check your registration, and how to get free or discounted rideshares to the polls.

Democrats and Republicans alike have too often conflated demography with destiny in American politics.

For the left, the growing ranks of non-white voters seemed to ease the need to win over culturally conservative whites—while Republicans have feared that an influx of immigrants would secure lasting Democratic power.

But both sides were wrong. Latinos and Asian-Americans are less predictably partisan than either party imagined.

Tap the link in our bio to discover why America’s fastest-growing voter groups could prove decisive in this year’s midterms.

Enjoooooyyyy!!!

🏳️‍⚧️💯 I did it. I learned that your limit is 100 miles beyond where you think it is, if you just take one little step at a time. Now matter how long, how slippery the road ahead, you can always take the next step. There is no point in dread, no point in regret, only the immediate moment we are living in.

Javelina is a 5-lap, 100 mile course. I entered the race believing I was chummy enough with 20 miles and the 100k distance that I would feel good for the first 3 laps. Safe to say I was pwnd by the 100 mile distance. The mere prospect of just how much of the race almost took me out of it mentally very early on.

The weather forecast was seeming unpredictable for weeks leading up the race. What is typically dry, hot, and exposed, requiring extensive heat training, was the wettest year the race has ever seen, leading to a DNF rate as high as in the races hottest year (around 50%).

With rough footing in the first few miles of the course and fatigue in my legs by the time I came back to my crew 22 miles in, I readjusted any time expectations I had for myself and became determined to get across the finish line. Fueling had to be adjusted on the fly. My crew rolled with it. The day became much longer than anticipated. At mile 80, I was feeling lightheaded and the last thing I wanted to do was get back out into the cold, rainy, mud slip-and-slide for hours. But I went. I finished what I came to do.

I was reminded of the power of caring for each other. My crew reminded me that I’m one of the strongest people they know, and that despite my throbbing legs with so much ground yet to cover, I’ve been through worse. I needed each and every person that was there with me. I’m a baby and I love everyone together lmao @realekeeley @iamsainthall_ @ameyaokamoto @kylarosemaher @thefreeoutside @shapirothehero @julien_digz @liamfayle and thank u to my sponnies for giving me the tools I needed to believe in myself and cross that finish line @runjanji @hoka @guenergylabs

Now when I close my eyes, I just see rain flickering in the light of the headlamp. A trans flag across the finish line. My first 100-mile buckle. Brb sleeping for 3 days!!!! 😴

love this fit❄️ go vote because your vote matters!💙
