Captain Lucas Da Cunha opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, converting a penalty won by Tasos Douvikas to put the Lariani ahead shortly before half-time. In the second half, Como maintained control of the match, managing the lead and keeping Venezia at bay to secure another clean sheet and a win. The match also marked Mattia Liberali’s return to action following his injury, with the young Italian midfielder coming on in the 73rd minute. Primavera players Zebedee Kennedy and Matteo Papaccioli were named in the matchday squad, having joined several first-team training sessions in recent weeks. Como 1907’s next fixture is away to RC Lens on Wednesday, 4 November, for Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League league phase.
