Ladies, your parents are right. Lose that weight and you will find your husband.

Because right now the rishtas coming your way are from men who are 34, still living with their parents, and listing athletic build in their biodata because they played gully cricket at 19. But the moment you drop those extra kilos, a completely different category of men gets unlocked. He is kind. Emotionally available. He can cook. He was always there. He just could not see you behind those extra kilos.

And once the pheras are done, put the weight back on. The aunties will be thrilled. Kitni khush lag rahi hai.

Now tell me. If weight is what gets you a good husband, how come every actress and supermodel is not in the happiest relationship of her life?

You know what happens when you lose weight for a man? All the self-love turns into self-hate. And it never stops at weight. Next comes your complexion. Then your hair. Then how ambitious you are in your career.

Health matters. Your health matters deeply. But do it for yourself. Not for an auntie who needs a thinner photo for your biodata.

And men, if you are rejecting women over a few extra kilos while your biodata says athletic but your doctor says pre-diabetic, please sit down. Your health matters just as much.

Save this. Send it to the aunty who needs to read it.

A 23-year-old Fort Worth mother, Avia Cantrell, is charged with capital murder. Police say she drowned her newborn daughter in a bathtub at the Drummers Inn on Camp Bowie West Boulevard.

Her boyfriend, 26-year-old Camron Baker, was also charged. Police say he threw the baby’s body in a dumpster outside the motel. A woman looking through the dumpster found the baby on Sunday night.
