A moment to remember…

Words cannot express the level of happiness I feel at this moment. I am forever grateful and honored to represent Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Thank you to my loving mother for showing me what a true Delta woman is and for helping me see from a young age the work, change, and dedication this sorority represents. Thank you to the lovely women of the DST Central Jersey Alumnae Chapter. You have watched me grow and have been there for me more times than I can count. Thank you to Auntie Ruth, Aunt Val Daye, Auntie Katrina, Aunt Christena, Aunt Nimmons, and Aunt Chavonya for having my back since I’ve been in Charlotte and for helping me along this process. A special shoutout to Aunt Christie for being a stepping stone and a role model as my fellow Soror of the Gamma Lambda Chapter. But especially, thank you to my Big Pros (not the little ones) and my advisors who have guided me and helped bring me across those burning sands. You helped me turn this dream into a reality and helped me form a connection and tight bond with my fellow line sisters, also known as H1STO7Y IN THE MAKING. The love I have for y’all will truly last a lifetime. I’ve got y’all’s backs for life, and I know y’all have mine too. I can’t wait to see all the things I will do now that I am officially a part of this illustrious organization.
