3rd @nycmarathon, 7th marathon, and a PR of 3:54:02! It was a day out there, that’s for sure. But this city always has a way of bringing me back to life. Thank you @believeintherun and @newbalancerunning for making this happen. More to come. #nycmarathon #newyorkcitymarathon #runnersofinstagram #instarunners #runner

As promised I put together my video of this weekly occurrence. I think the thing that actually broke me and made me do this: the fact they left the cardboard box recycling on the street for 10 days now, counting. Dollar Tree sells marked-up low-quality products and pays its employees as little as possible. It deserves no leeway in this kind of shenanigan I'm calling on my local rep Julie Wan, the mayor of New York, Zoran Mamdani, and the DOT to help Dollar Tree understand because asking them nicely as a resident of this neighborhood didn't work. I've tried it So I'm calling on the @nyc_dot @nycmayor and my local rep @juliej_won to help sort this out. I reached out to Julie's team in the past and they got in touch and were in contact with the store management and they stopped blocking the sidewalk for a bit, then they started to ignore that. @dollartree this was what I was talking about btw #adaviolation #nyc #nycmayor #dollartree #ourstreets
Camas Books canceled an upcoming event in our infoshop after learning that the planned speaker has explicitly expressed support for Da'esh/ ISIS, which is a matter of public record. Our decision to cancel this event has nothing to do with supporting the Canadian government. Any person who supports Da'esh/ISIS is by definition a supporter of religious authoritarianism, ethnic genocide and gender-based violence. Per our Mission Statement, Camas exists to promote anti-authoritarian and anti-hierarchical activism, and to work cooperatively in association with other anti-authoritarian groups to educate, organize and strengthen our social commitments, both globally and locally. Camas does not support, nor will we ever support or platform states, political parties or reactionary organizations. Especially oppressive organizations such as Da'esh/ISIS. Our collective, past and present, includes Muslim members, and we stand by them in denouncing authoritarianism and religious fundamentalism that directly impact their communities. In the future we strongly urge event organizers to be transparent in their intended use of our space and to read our mission statement and principles of unity ahead of time to prevent any confusion of our political boundaries.
