My dad brought me up making homemade crisps just with his normal chip peeler. But did he get them so thin taught me well but he always said to soak them first get rid of starch to make more crispy. This was in the 70s/ 80s but omg they were fab. I can’t taste them now. I’ve never made them without him no he’s no longer here. I might just try this one now. Memories 🥰. Thanks Poppy. Xx

Can this be done without using processed seed oils or olive oil?

Do not use vegetable oils ever! They are poison. Use duck fat or beef fat. It will taste so much better and be far healthier.

I always felt like Christmas when I arrived at the hotel in Chamonix for the holidays and every night the chef would put out his homemade crisps. The truffle dip sounds delicious and it will definitely be on my table for the holidays. The neighbours are all going to have their favourite crisps for Christmas 🎅 A brilliant idea 😉
