lactation cookies

cookies loaded with oat flour, flax, brewer’s yeast & multiple kinds of chocolate.. some ingredients are for fun & some may support a mom who is currently breastfeeding but they’re safe & delicious for everyone to eat!! I used @itsaflavorfullife recipe, it’s so easy to follow!

sourdough animal crackers

the cutest & most whimsical animal crackers I have ever seen! (I may be biased). this is a recipe by @sourdoughbrandon - he makes it easy to follow & adds a ton of detail so you never have to guess. these are quite time consuming to make but the smiles you get from those you share them with make it worth it!

pot roast

I covered a rump roast in garlic powder, salt & pepper. I seared it, on all sides, in a cast iron Dutch oven. I preheated my oven to 300 degrees. I added a cup of water & two bay leaves, covered the Dutch oven & put it in the oven for four hours. I upped the temperature to 350. I chopped/washed a few onions, a few stalks of celery & some carrots. I added them to my Dutch oven along with some baby potatoes with more of all the seasonings from earlier.. I added more water & dolloped some butter on everything.. I let it all cook for an hour & a half.
I served it with homemade sourdough brown bread.
