From a bare steel container to the deployment of a 1 MW electrolyser⬇️This is the journey of our first commercial #AEM Nexus unit:

Located at the Braunschweig Research Airport and spanning 4,700m², the siz energieplus Hydrogen Terminal serves as a hub for research expertise along the H2 value chain in the megawatt range.

At its core is our containerised, megawatt-class AEM Nexus 1000 electrolyser.

Equipped with 420 modular AEM Stacks, this first commercial unit is capable of producing up to 450 kg of H2 per 24h.

Powered by an impressive local PV system, the AEM Nexus 1000 will soon supply onsite green hydrogen and processed electrolysis waste heat for various applications within this multi-purpose project.

The large-scale electrolysis system was planned and integrated together with our partner H2 Core Systems GmbH.

We're proud that our megawatt-class AEM Electrolyser will make a strong contribution to this exciting project. Watch the full video to get a better idea of its journey from construction to deployment.
