The very first album we released on Ed Banger records!
I have to credit Xavier de Rosnay for pushing me to release this record in 2006.
Mehdi was often hanging out at Justice studio.
I had 30 demos of Mehdi, I thought
it sounded more like mixtapes to me. But I felt Mehdi wanted to reach more people,
shocasing his production skills to a wider audience. He called Chromeo, Kavinsky, Fafi, Feadz, Xanax, Bogue and So Me to bring « Lucky Boy » to life!
It was exactly 20 years ago today.
Tonight we’ll celebrate our brother, not the fact that he left way too soon, but the power of his music genius and his power to bring people together.

POV: when Halloween is too commercial so you celebrate Samhain instead…
The ancient Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest and the start of the dark winter nights. It was marked with plenty of feasting, dressing up in animal masks and with traditional games. With roaring fires it acted as a kind of pastoral new year. There’s much to be said for the new year being at this point gardening and in the natural world too 🤔
So with a slightly different focus for today - happy Samhain 🎃❤️🍁

Duh mimin banget lagi ni 😭 Ngincer Obsidia malah dapet Selena ... 🗿
