I was invited to the opening of About Time at the @yalepeabodymuseum 🦕, a temporary exhibit on how we measure time in nature ⏳ (4.6 billion year old meteorites ☄️ and 17-year cicadas 🪲!). I was floored by how much the curators know, and not just about science. Most are Yale professors 🤯 So of course I had to ask the director, Dr. David Skelly, how he’d spend a perfect skip day in New Haven after 30 years at Yale. Here’s what he said: 👇 ✨✨ PS, Comment SKIP DAY and we’ll send you his perfect spots!!! 🥞 Breakfast at @thepantry_newhaven 🦕 Wander the exhibit (it’s free!) 🏛️ Walk campus and explore: @beineckelibrary (Rare Books & Manuscript Library a if you haven’t been it is gorgeous, and one of the largest collections EVER!) Sterling Memorial Library (Harry Potter can’t hold a candle to this!) @yaleartgallery (stunning collection you wouldn’t expect to find!) 🍽️ Dinner: @unionleaguecafe if you’re dressing up, or the mashed potato and bacon pizza at @bar_newhaven 🍕 if you’re not (you know I’m choosing Bar this time!) Who am I to argue with a Yale professor? 😂🩷🩷🩷 DETAILS: 🆓 Museum admission is free 📍 Exhibit is on the 2nd floor ⏳ Open through Aug 9, 2027 🔗 Link in bio for more on the exhibit 🔥 Hot Tip: Most people see the dinosaurs 🦕 and tire out. Since it’s free, go upstairs to the gems collection, and stare at how shiny and beautiful our Earth is! ✨🩷✨ Save this for your perfect New Haven day 📌 Drop your favorite New Haven skip day spots (I’ll tag and feature you in stories!!!) And check out the museum for your perfect afternoon off!
