I’m excited to announce who will be joining me at the 2027 Jesus Image Alabaster Women’s Conference: @michaelkoulianos, Sister Nechama, @dawnchere, @steffanydawn, @girlsgonebible, with worship by @jesus_image! ❤️ This event has always been about one thing: coming to the feet of Jesus to worship Him. When we pour out our oil at His feet, we have everything we need. God marked us beautifully last year, and we’re expectant for what He will do at the next one. We hope to see you there! Register before October 20th before prices increase! Join us on March 4-5, 2027, in Orlando, FL, at jesusimage.tv or link in bio! #JesusImage
I felt a shiver from ear to ankle as @agotoronto curator Dr. Julie Crooks explained Sasha Huber’s piece Tailoring Freedom (slide 2). Slaves were traditionally photographed naked. Look at the pain in their eyes. Huber decided to reimagine them in the clothing of abolitionists…done with staples. Painful to install. Leaving a visible mark when removed. Whew. Just a tidbit of the depth and beauty and joy and pain and absolute bachanalia to be experienced when walking through Sunday Best. I highly recommend this show. You’ll leave changed.
