Hoardings depicting political leaders and public figures as the ten heads of Ravana appeared across several parts of Lucknow on Sunday, ahead of Dussehra.
The hoardings feature images of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Elon Musk, Muhammad Yunus, Mukhtar Ansari, Atiq Ahmed, Azam Khan, Ilhan Omar, George Soros and Rahul Gandhi. They carry the headline, “Enemies of Sanatan India are Ravana,” and name the Sanatan Raksha Sangathan as the organiser.
The hoardings have been put up in areas including Hazratganj, the MLA residences, Gomti Nagar and Kapoorthala. They have drawn the attention of passers-by in these upscale and VIP localities.
The organisation said the people featured on the hoardings were those it considers opposed to Sanatan Dharma. It alleged that they had promoted what it described as “jihadist forces and mindsets” and had failed to support Sanatan interests while in power.
