Acai bowls can be a delicious way to get antioxidant-packed fruit into your day. While the research regarding acai’s health benefits is still fairly new, some research suggests acai offers potential benefits to the heart, gut, liver, kidneys and nervous system. It may stabilize blood sugar and lower blood lipids. Additionally, acai appears to have antimicrobial and antiparasitic properties.
