During a rally in Nebraska on Monday, October 5, Trump made controversial remarks about Iran potentially attacking Los Angeles and San Diego.

On Wednesday, October 7, during a rally in San Antonio, Texas, he repeated similar language, saying:

“Let them hit San Diego. Let them hit Los Angeles.”

When Luciano Pavarotti stepped onto the stage of London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1982, he redefined the reach of grand opera.
Puccini’s “Recondita armonia” serves as the opening statement of Tosca, sung by the painter Mario Cavaradossi as he contemplates the subtle harmonies of art and love. It requires immediate vocal brilliance from the moment the tenor opens his mouth.
Pavarotti’s signature squillo—the ring in the voice that cuts through a thick orchestral texture without straining—is captured here in its purest form. His natural Italianate diction, combined with unyielding breath control, turns Puccini’s score into a masterclass of operatic expression.
Decades later, this concert remains one of the gold standards of 20th-century vocal artistry.
