On October the 8th, a masked gunman walked into a Marbella plastic surgery clinic and shot Dr Alexander Aslani dead in front of patients, staff and his wife. Dr Aslani, a 57-year-old surgeon, was a favourite among influencers and reality TV stars, known for pioneering a Brazilian butt lift procedure dubbed “Aslanified”. An 18-year-old Swedish man has been arrested in connection with the killing, but the motive remains unclear. At the link in bio, our writer reports on the mysterious murder and the city’s growing reputation as a hub for organised crime.
A driver is claiming he lost his job after calling out Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott following the team’s disappointing 24-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a TikTok video circulating online, a man claiming to be the driver involved in the viral incident said he was terminated after shouting “embarrassing” as Prescott walked through a stadium tunnel following Thursday night’s (Oct. 8) game. “Well, guys, it’s official. I just got fired from my job,” he said. “Apparently last night when Dak was going through the tunnel, I yelled out, ‘Embarrassing,’ and I admit that was not my best moment.” The man said he accepted responsibility for his actions but questioned Prescott’s performance on the field. “The only problem I have with losing my job is that I just wish that Dak would’ve had that type of energy and emotion on the field,” he continued. “If he did, then we wouldn’t have this issue.” He added, “Why didn’t he take accountability? Why didn’t he say, ‘Yeah, that was embarrassing?’” The controversy began after Prescott was filmed reacting to criticism from a contracted transportation driver following the Cowboys’ loss. Prescott reportedly told security, “Tough guy. Get his ass out of here.” The quarterback later defended his reaction, saying people were free to express their opinions but should stand behind their words. It’s important to note that the identity of the man in the TikTok video has not been independently verified, nor has his termination or Prescott’s alleged involvement in it. Do you think the driver deserved to lose his job over the comment?
