The feeling of riding this wave was indescribable. Most likely one of the biggest barrels I’ve ever paddled into. Looking back at this footage, everything looks so perfect, so clean, almost effortless. But it’s hard to describe just how terrifying it actually is to be in a position like this. Facing that much raw power, moving at that speed, with such a shallow reef beneath you. The consequences are enormous, and the margin for error is almost nonexistent. The speed I picked up dropping down that face, navigating the boils, setting my line and pulling into this massive barrel on my 9’0 @pyzelsurfboards . You can actually see my board almost pearling through the boils further down the wave. Once I was locked in, the barrel just kept growing and growing, and it felt like it would never end. Trying to manage that big board, generate speed and hold on at the same time. Seconds felt like hours. I was analyzing every little drop of water, trying to control the adrenaline, the fear, the uncertainty and that overwhelming desire to make it out. It’s hard to put into words what goes through your mind in those moments. That fine line between fear and pure excitement. From the outside, it looks like perfection, but from the inside, it’s a completely different reality. Without a doubt, one of the most insane visions and best barrels of my life. Winter’s calling for more. Special thanks to @clemmcinerney for filming, @mr__mantis for safety, @sligokayaktours for being a legend and @natxogonzalez1 @tomloweyo @conormaguiree for pushing the limits those days!!!

BAKHAR NABIEVA | LEG & GLUTE GROWTH Our main goal right now is to add more size to Bahar’s legs and glutes. Personally, I think she already has great muscle development, but an athlete’s goals are an athlete’s goals! So we’re putting in the work to help her build even more muscle in her legs and glutes, and we’ll be sharing her training sessions with you. The training program is relatively simple, with what I would call moderate volume. Bahar currently trains legs three times per week. Today’s workout: 1. Leg Press 2. Smith Machine Bulgarian Split Squats 3. Hip Thrusts — 2 sets total: 1 with a pause at the top and 1 with a resistance band around the thighs 4. Lying Hip Abductions (Gluteus Medius) We’re currently doing 3 sets per exercise, except for hip thrusts, where we do only 2 sets in total. We’re testing this training volume to see how well she recovers and progresses. If it turns out to be too high, we may reduce some exercises to 2 sets.
