امروز بیش از هر روز دیگری در سال گذشته دلتنگ مادرم هستم. عکس اول پارسال همین روز ها در ارمنستان است. عکس دوم بیست و هفت سال پیش✨ . Missing my mum extra today. I have this weird instinct sometimes when it comes to knowing it's time to see my mum. Back in 2022, I knew it was time for her to visit me in Mexico. Even though I was only 24 and figuring life out, I wanted to show her my new home and country. It took us nine months to get her a tourist visa for Mexico, but we made it happen. Four days after she went back, the Woman, Life, Freedom movement started. After that, I got so busy with work and finishing and self-publishing my memoir that it wasn't possible to see her again. Last year, after my book tour, we managed to gather in Armenia. My cousins came from Europe, and our families came from Iran. It was only six days, but I'm so glad I got to see my grandma, my mum, and my aunts and uncles. The people who raised me. Just two months later, thousands of people were massacred in Iran for protesting peacefully, and then the war started. I couldn't contact my family for 70 days. An entire nation was cut off from the internet by its own government. Flying out of Iran is very difficult and unpredictable. My mum has to travel all the way from Tehran to Istanbul by land and then fly to Mexico if she wants to visit me. It's a very long, tiring journey. I don't like to talk much about exile because I feel I belong to Mexico, to the land and community I chose to live in. But damn, as my only parent gets older, I have a greater desire to be with her. To just have a deep conversation while I drink my mate and she enjoys her cigarette. I love you, Mum. I'm so grateful for your emotional support and for encouraging me to be where I want to be, without ever making me feel like I have to be there by your side. Maybe that's why you had four daughters, so if one flies away, the rest can be there by your side. I admire you. I am grateful for you. And I miss you very much today and every day. May our paths cross soon, whether in Mexico or somewhere close to Iran. I love you. ❤️

In one of the recent episodes of the Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss20, TV actress Mahhi Vij broke down before her fellow contestants and also eventually, she spoke about the reason why she refused to accept alimony or even ask Jay for maintenance. She said, “I didn’t take a single penny in alimony or even ask for maintenance. I’m here on my merit, only so that my daughter’s life is secured. It’s not like Jay doesn’t offer to help, but I cannot ask for money from someone. It’s his hard-earned money. When I was standing in court, the judge asked me four times to reconsider not taking alimony or even maintenance. He insisted that I take it. I didn’t take it because Jay earned that money after working very hard. Not that he will refuse me for anything his entire locker is open for me. But it’s his efforts; he stood for 16 hours at work and earned that”.💔🥺
