When temperatures get to 36°F and below that is when you will get a frost, warning and ice crystals will form on the surface of your plants. Tender annuals do not want any frost in the plant will die if they get hit with it. You should harvest any fruit, fruits and vegetable vegetables you have on tender season plants and harvest any flowers you wanna cut as well. You can try to extend the growing season on these types of plants by watering deeply in the evening and covering your plants with a light sheet or frost cloth that you will remove in the morning. Hary annuals like broccoli, kale, spinach, carrots, beets, etc. Don’t need to be covered at all. They can tolerate this kind of weather. If you have any indoor plants that you take outside for the summer now would be the time to bring them indoors.
