Pulled up in 2025 in a 2025. Starting a new chapter & I’m enjoying every mile in the journey. I know this is going to be the best year of my life and I am hoping the same for the rest of you.
The best decision I made in this past year was to step away from everything to prioritize myself. I spent so long in overdrive that I didnt know how to rest. People celebrated me for being a “hustler“ and I prided myself on outworking the next person. My identity became earning and performing. I never took time for the small things, and really didn’t take more than a second to celebrate my wins.
I always felt like “the game owed me” and honestly that’s true. But one crucial thing I was missing, is that I really owed myself. I walked around with a chip on my shoulder because I didn’t get the credit I deserved in a lot of ways. But what I finally realized was I needed to give myself credit. I needed to learn to be enough For Myself, By Myself.
I learned how to be my own cheerleader, to truly love myself, and who I was aside from my success. I learned a beautiful thing : Internal Validation ❤️🫶🏻 Then things started clicking 🔑 I bought my first house, graduated with highest honors from university, and took my business to a solid six figures a year.
Turns out the game was just waiting to pay me everything it owes me, I just had to be ready to receive it. It ended up not looking exactly like I thought it would, but it’s turning out to be even better. This is just the beginning of the best chapter in my life. I know there’s so much more coming to me and I’m excited to turn the page in this story of a poor immigrant who went through homelessness, and overcame all the odds of mental health, abandonment, sobriety and never stopped believing in her dream.
