My heart is grieving and I am numb. Photos are from my last visit to Santa Monica in 2019 hiking Mandeville Canyon with @mooshoo51 and walking Santa Monica beach. Second photo is Palisades Park with beach and Palisades in the background. My brother just left the Runyon Canyon - Hollywood area in October. He sent me a photo of the hill burning 200 yards behind the old apartment he shared with @kristin.ohmstede. I can’t express how much this area means to me and my children who grew up in Santa Monica. Seeing places where we visited and played and worked and shopped and attended church rocks my core. We were a part of that place and it is a part of us. We have friends all over these areas and I wish so much love and safety to my friends and all the people of Malibu, Palisades, Santa Monica, and Los Angeles that are suffering and displaced. My heart and my prayers are with you all.
