Our boy Alexandre getting bounced around by some unexpected bumps at the merge of a trail.
This was taken at Waterville Valley in New Hampshire. Late in the day and with low visibility due to clouds, it’s almost impossible to see how rough these bumps are. Best way to take spots like these on is by trying to time your jump over the divots like the other snowboarder in the video.
Although Alexandre just got tripped up, this is a great example of why you should have different goggles/lenses depending on the conditions for the day. Some clear lenses designed for lowlight would make you able to see more of the terrain coming up when you can’t rely on looking for shadows to detect obstacles.
