we ordered:
nomadic trails (10-course degustation menu for RM750++)
i came with expectations, and nadodi not only delivered, but they knocked it out of the park 😭
they say the first impression of a course meal is important because it sets the tone of how the rest of your meal would go; the welcome trio really blew me away and left me wanting seconds already in just the first bite! each starter was delicious and with strong memorable flavours. I couldn’t even pick a favourite because they were all that good 🥹
every course that followed after was also so strong — great presentation and flavour all around.
summarising highlights ✨ from this meal:
> welcome drink followed by the introduction to the entire experience was just such a zen start 🧘🏻♀️ 😂
> the welcome trio really left a strong first impression ⭐️
> i can have the cultured butter + maasi sambol 🧈 from grains will rule the world ALL day everyday 💯
> nomad’s globe was a journey of different sensations (cold + hot) and flavours in my mouth! Also love that you can get unlimited refills for the biryani rice 🍚
> both desserts were such a smashing finish! my favourite in particular was sour leaves because of how interesting the flavours were. Herbaceous but in such a good way. The play in textures was great!
Not really an area of improvement, but more so a personal preference - the broth in the mango muse perhaps not so much a flavour that I’d enjoy personally 😬
we also opted for cocktail pairings 🍸 — still contemplating if I should share this in a separate post 😂 drinks were from their bar, Ver, and cost RM240++ for 4 cocktails that paired with the course meal.
overall, despite the steep price, i personally felt the entire course and service made it worth it for me! I will 100% come back as they change their course menus seasonally :)
