Bollywood actor Salman Khan has urged students and supporters to end the ongoing protest and return home, just hours after publicly backing their movement against alleged examination paper leaks. Reacting after Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised strict action against those responsible for harming the future of students, Salman wrote, “Please go back home,” while directly addressing hunger-striking activist Sonam Wangchuk. He added, “Sonam bro, eat something, I’ll send food,” suggesting that the government’s assurance had addressed the protesters’ central concern. The appeal marks a noticeable shift from Salman’s earlier statement, in which he described paper leaks as a serious issue and praised students for coming together to demand a better education system. He had called the protesters “courageous and brave” and said that the present generation would make India proud. Salman had also expressed sadness over the peaceful movement turning violent and extended support to students and their families who were injured. At the same time, he maintained that the movement should not be politically hijacked and that its credit should remain with the students. His latest message has now sparked mixed reactions online. While some users welcomed the actor’s call for peace and said the government should be given time to act, others questioned why the protest should be withdrawn merely on the basis of an assurance. The protesters have been demanding accountability over alleged paper leaks, stronger examination safeguards and action against officials responsible for irregularities. Sonam Wangchuk has continued his hunger strike as the movement grows beyond its original student-led demands. Salman’s apparent U-turn has therefore become the latest talking point surrounding the protest, with critics arguing that concrete action—not just promises—will determine whether the agitation actually comes to an end.

Prenatal depression came back this pregnancy. Only this time, it came back even heavier. There were many days during my first trimester where my mind went to some really dark places. It scared me. And if you’ve ever experienced depression, you know how isolating it can feel. Add moving to a new state, being pregnant, and trying to show up for your kids, and some days felt impossible. But something beautiful happened in the middle of all of it. People showed up. Friends, family, strangers… people who had no idea how much they were carrying me just by being there. They reminded me that even when I couldn’t see the light, I wasn’t walking through the darkness alone. I’m trying to count my blessings, even on the days it’s hard. I don’t believe depression is beautiful. It’s painful, confusing, and exhausting. But I do believe God can bring beauty from it. It has made me ask deeper questions. It has made me slow down. It has reminded me what really matters. It has taught me that strength sometimes looks like asking for help instead of pretending you’re okay. I don’t have all the answers yet. But I do know this: I’m here to love deeply. To raise my babies. To tell the truth about the hard parts. And if sharing my story helps even one person feel less alone, then every vulnerable conversation has been worth it.
