dan

a few weeks ago I was in Berlin presenting my research at the Dancecult Conference and @flemish.fetish @brenn.invites just so happened to have an open slot on their @thfradio show the same day my flight landed!

Here’s a lil dump of some of my yapping about venue closures and queer scenes in SA, some DJing, and some highlights from the conference - it was honestly surreal presenting at a conference so directly linked to my research interests; normally I’m just the weird nightlife diva in a room full of documentary historians lol.

As much as moving to the UK has been pretty bleak, over these last few months there have been so many moments where it’s clear I’ve taken myself to the right place for my career and interests & I’ve been pinching myself a lot recently thinking about where I was a year ago compared to now.

I’ll pop the link to the full show in my linktree, Nikki had some very interesting things to say about Queer Scenes in Berlin rn, and also put down a banging italo mix x
