I can’t stop looking at it ✨ #decor #bookshelf #bookshelfdecor #winter #snow
You cannot want the fruit of your husband’s ambition while resenting the discipline, time, and sacrifice it takes for him to produce it... One of the things I’ve come to appreciate most about marriage is that my husband’s success isn’t something I simply get to benefit from. It’s something I get to help cultivate. When I take care of our children, manage our home, create an atmosphere of peace, and make his life a little easier, I’m not just checking things off a list. I’m freeing up his capacity to do things that benefit our entire family. I don’t see his ambition as competition for his attention or his hard work as a rejection of me. I see an opportunity to come alongside him and help carry the responsibilities that make the vision possible. Of course, our marriage and family still need his time and attention. But I’ve learned that not every season of marriage will look the same, and I don’t have to interpret every busy season as a lack of love. I don’t just want to enjoy the fruit of the man I’m married to, I want to be the kind of wife who helps him as he builds it!! 🫶🏼🙏🏼🔥❤️

Filmmaker @aaronavontjohnson raised a good point. We grew up watching cartoons with mostly white characters, and nobody questioned it. But when he creates Adventures With Aaron, featuring Black children as scientists, explorers, and heroes, someone asks why there are so many Black kids. Our children deserve to see themselves as more than sidekicks or comic relief. They deserve to be the heroes, too. Aaron said it best, “Representation isn’t exclusion.” And I couldn’t agree more. Go support @aaronavontjohnson and check out @adventureswithaaronshow. Why is Black representation still something people feel the need to question? #AdventuresWithAaron #BlackRepresentation #BlackCreators #RickParty
