Tesla has revealed a pre-production electric sports car, called the Roadster, which will enter production in 2028. It will be available in a standard Performance trim, and Thrust and Rocket packages (or augments, as Tesla calls them). Here’s everything you need to know about it: ◾️Thrusters use pressurised cold air expelled through nozzles to generate thrust ◾️Performance trim features an underbody suction fan that can generate 2G of grip ◾️Thrust augment adds four rear-mounted thrusters ◾️Rocket augment gets 10 thrusters and is designed for airborne manoeuvres ◾️Tesla claims a 0-100kph time of under a second for the new Roadster ◾️Performance, Thrust gets two seats; Rocket is a single-seater Has a more angular, wedge-shaped silhouette like the Tesla Cybertruck ◾️Features ‘Ano White' paint finish, gold-tinted glass and titanium accents ◾️Interior has a more minimalistic design with a yoke steering and central infotainment screen ◾️Has a steer-by-wire system, and braking and throttle inputs are also electronically controlled ◾️Offers a fixed seating position, and the cabin uses lightweight materials such as carbon fibre, magnesium and titanium to help keep weight in check Pre-reservations for the Performance trim and Thrust package are underway in India at Rs 5 lakh, while the Rocket augment is an invite-only programme. . . . 😂 If Tesla actually puts a flying Roadster into customers’ hands, rush-hour traffic memes are about to become completely unhinged. ⠀ This edit imagines American freeways in 2028 with Roadsters launching, flipping, and flying over traffic instead of sitting in it. ⠀ The joke suddenly feels less fictional after Tesla demonstrated its new Roadster performing airborne maneuvers with SpaceX-derived cold-gas thrusters. ⠀ Tesla’s most extreme Rocket configuration is designed for upward thrust and mid-air rotation, although the company explicitly says it is not approved for public-road use. ⠀ Production is currently targeted for 2028, so the flying-freeway apocalypse can remain fictional for at least a little longer. ⠀ Something tells us insurance companies are going to need a new checkbox. ⠀ Would you actually want flying cars sharing the road with normal traffic? ⠀ What are your thoughts? 🤔💭 ⠀ FOLLOW ➡️ @hypewhip for more futuristic car culture moments! 🤝🏎️ ⠀ ( Meme: @ tdawg30w/tt ) ⠀ #tesla #teslaroadster #flyingcars #carmemes #cars

ad The flooring that came with the house really hadn’t stood up well to everyday life - after only around three years, the laminate was so scratched and peeling and the original carpets were looking very rough around the edges! When it came to replacing it, I wanted something softer and more comfortable underfoot, but still practical enough for our everyday family life. Just as importantly, I wanted beautiful texture and warm, muted tones that would sit naturally with the rest of the interiors rather than feeling like an afterthought. We chose two different 100% wool carpets from @alternativeflooring. Wool Riverbed Tamar has a chunkier, tactile texture and is made from 100% undyed wool. It’s rated Class 23 Heavy Domestic / Class 32 Medium Contract, so it gave us the softness while still being suited to spaces that get plenty of use. We also used Wool Iconic Herringbone Fonda, a finer 100% wool carpet with a subtle herringbone pattern. I love that it gives a little more pattern and structure while still feeling understated - and being really durable it works for those busier areas such as the staircase and front hallway. The two work really well together - different enough to give each space its own feel, but both have that warm, natural quality I wanted throughout the house. Everything was fitted by @radstockcarpetandbedcentre, our local independent Alternative Flooring retail partner, and they were brilliant throughout the whole process. The fitting was incredibly considered and I’m so pleased with the finish. Such a difference from where we started! #alternativeflooring #walltowallcarpet #wool #sustainable

Nigel Farage has challenged Andy Burnham over migrant crossings during Prime Minister's Questions. Speaking in the House of Commons, the Reform UK leader asked: "Is it not time the government recognise that what is going on in the English Channel is a national security emergency?" Responding, the PM said: "Of course we do need to get boat crossings down. I hope he would recognise that they are coming down. Removals are up. There is much more to be done, but there is clearly progress in the right direction." #NigelFarage #AndyBurnham #PMQs #ukpolitics #GBNews
