My first Halloween in Berlin wasn’t long after I moved here and I was in the ripples of up rooting one life and establishing another

I didn’t realise it was Halloween until all the children came out dressed up, something infinitely beautiful and warm overwhelmed my heart, which was in a state of grief only a child that’s lost there mum in the Tesco’s produce aisle knows.

This was my attempt to hold onto to that warm feeling
