You Are Treating Us Like An+mals Because We Are Bl@cks — Guest Rants as Police Shut Down Nigerian Wedding In Netherlands Over Noise Pollution

A Nigerian wedding celebration in the Netherlands was interrupted by police on Sunday, October 11, 2026, following complaints about noise pollution.

Footage of the incident showed police officers in yellow vests entering a decorated hall during the ceremony and directing guests to leave the venue.

Guests dressed in traditional Nigerian outfits and formal attire were seen leaving, while some appeared distressed and others protested the disruption.

A voice in the background accused the officers of r@cial discrimination, saying, “It is because we are blacks; you’re treating us like an+mals.”

The individual further described the intervention as intimidation, adding, “This is someone’s wedding; you don’t have to stop it like that.”

Events in the Netherlands are subject to local regulations governing noise levels, permits and operating hours. However, it remains unclear whether the wedding exceeded its permitted time or violated any specific event regulations.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with some commenters arguing that the hosts should respect local laws, while others questioned whether the police response was justified.
