Lo tenía que decir… . . . . . . ENTERTAINMENT DISCLAIMER: This video is staged. It's just entertainment, don't take it personally, everything is scripted.
In December of 2015, @rpwells bought me a plane ticket to NYC. I remember the moment vividly, because we couldn’t afford it. We were living in my angel Mother-in-law’s basement— each working tirelessly toward our individual and shared dreams. Taking risks, saving, and sacrificing to build the life we knew we wanted. Soaking up the chaos with our almost two year old baby. I had been asked to go to New York for to attend an event and meet a new friend. I so desperately wanted to go, but I had said no— until Ry surprised me with the ticket. He said he felt like I couldn’t afford NOT to go. I cried the first time I saw this city— the sheer magnitude of it was like nothing I had ever seen. That trip became so important and memorable for me. It was the first time I ever traveled alone. It was the first time I had ventured into the world as a mother, without my baby. It was the first time I met new friends in adulthood— and the first time in my life I didn’t know or care what their religion was, nor them mine. It was the first time a woman I didn’t know recognized me from online, told me of a struggle she was facing, and thanked me for sharing mine. (We embraced, and somehow I knew, I DID know her.) It was the first time I felt like maybe the silly little “fitstagram” account I had created, was meant to be something more. Almost 11 years later, I’ve been back to New York many times. With many of those trips being just as impactful as the first, and every single time? I’m still in awe of this city I’m still learning new things about ME Because of how many poignant moments she’s held for me, New York is a beautiful mirror. Walking these streets, I feel I get to re-meet every previous version of me that walked them before. Simultaneously mourning and celebrating so many chapters to either integrate, or let go. Wherever you are in the world today, and whatever delicate life phase, I encourage you to sit with yourself and do the same. Grateful for @1hotel.centralpark for being the softest place to land in the big city. Ily!!! Xx Kels
Comment SELFIE if you want my Free selfie guide 🤳 Your car might actually be one of the best places to take a selfie 😍📸 The light coming through the windows can be SO flattering. You just need to know where to sit, how to angle your face and where to hold your phone. Here’s what I always look for: ☀️ Soft daylight coming through the window. Avoid harsh sunlight hitting your face. 📱 Hold your phone slightly above eye level and turn your face towards the light. 🤍 Try a few different angles. Sometimes moving your face just a little makes such a difference. And please, take more than one photo! I usually take a bunch before finding the one I love 😂 You really don’t need fancy equipment to take beautiful photos of yourself. Your phone and a little practice can take you a long way. 💌 Comment SELFIE and I’ll send you my FREE Selfie Guide with more easy tips to help you take photos you’ll actually love! Save this for your next car selfie 🤍
