We’re incredibly grateful to have been featured on Atlanta News First for stepping up to help our neighbors during the recent snowstorm. With hundreds of cars stranded across South Metro Atlanta, we hit the roads with one of our car haulers, equipped with a 12,000 lb winch, to offer free tows and assistance to those in need.

It was an honor to serve our community and help get people back on the road safely. Supporting one another in tough times is what it’s all about!

Thank you to everyone who trusted us to help. At Haulers 23, we’re proud to be part of such an amazing community!

Dockworkers set fire to tires to commence work stoppage in Genoa as part of a historic refusal to ship Israeli arms. A historic work stoppage is beginning at 100 ports across four continents. The video shows workers in Genoa, Italy, blocking a passageway, halting operations at the start of the day. Speeches and protests will begin later today. Over $2 billion dollars worth of cargo will sit idle on October 30th as workers from across 100 ports (and counting) will protest against Isr*eli weapons shipments. In one of the largest coordinated day of actions observed in history, spanning four continents, dockworkers will unite to reject their labour being used for the transfer of weapons of war, specifically weapons used Isr*el for its g*nocide in G*za. According to the “No Harbour for G*nocide” website, dockworker demands are the following: * An immediate end to the g*nocide of the P*lestinian people and all imperialist wars; * No arms, amm*nition, military equipment or troops sent to war through their ports; * No ports turned into military bases, no to rearmament and the war economy; * Instead of we*pons budgets: health and safety measures, real wages, secure jobs, and no automation in place of dockworkers. The demands, known as the “Istanbul Declaration,” are signed and endorsed by the following unions: ENEDEP (Greece), USB (Italy), LAB (Basque Country), ODT (Morocco), Liman-İş (Türkiye), CGT (France), SEGDAMELIN-PEO (Cyprus) and WTWFI (India).
Here we are on the other side of another @peachtober :-) I always like to introduce myself for those who are new around here: I’m Sha’an but lots of you know me as furrylittlepeach (a tumblr handle I created in 2010 because I wanted to blog and not study for my exams). I am an artist, illustrator and children’s author who loves to create vibrant, whimsical pictures for adults & children and tell stories in hopes the things I make can be a portal to joy, nostalgia and escapism especially in these chaotic and distressing times. I’ve documented my practice and life on youtube for the last decade - come find me! My art studio is always messy. I live in Sydney, Australia with @rocketweijers and our cat Tonka ✨ I love analysing song lyrics, café hopping, going to the cinema, watching reality tv with my friends, and going to bookstores with a little drink. I’m always open to book recs and love to read speculative fiction, celebrity memoirs + non-fiction about the creative practice/creative psyche. I decided to make peachtober on a whim, the day before october in 2018 - a choice that was fortuitous because the community that rallied around it is honestly one of my favourite parts of the internet and was completely unexpected. Whether it’s your first or your eighth year - whether you created 31 paintings, a single sketch or simply spectated - thank you for making this community as special as it is! It truly is the cherry on top of my year every year, and this year for me turned out to have wild highs and unpredictable lows so I feel I really needed it. To the best dance partner I could’ve ever asked for, I just want to say thank you for being the person you are. You are one of the hardest workers I’ve ever been around and you have the kindest soul. I know it wasn’t easy traveling and taking flights every 4 days, but you never complained or had a bad attitude even once. You had to choreograph our dances, learn Bananas walkups, create content and interact with thousands and thousands of fans… all with little to no sleep. I am so thankful to have had you as my dance partner but way more importantly, one of my best friends for life. I know we couldn’t do our Greatest Showman dance, but I am positive that everything happens for a reason. You are a superstar, and I’m so excited to see what else you accomplish in this life. Also… that wasn’t the last time we’ll see each other on the dance floor… I’m sure of it. Until next time, see ya soon partna🫡💛
