The Q-Agenda is being honored with a #glaadaward. Wow. A huge item on my bucket list. Looking back, it's kinda just now hitting me what this show has done. Not only are we in twenty-two states, forty-four million households, with millions of streams across social channels; we've been honored by Hispanic Executive Magazine, hosted by The Tourist Office of Spain, honored in OUT 100's LGBTQ's Titans of Media, received a Scroll to West Hollywood for the 100th Episode (a scroll that I'm still trying to figure out what it do), and now THIS! This is what did it. Woke me up.

TEN seasons ago, before my wife and before my kids, I walked in to film one segment. They asked me to stay and never leave. Despite me being completely Americanized and a disappointment to my bis-abuela, who I am sure did not come from Cuba to see me lose so much of my Cubana. I can say that this show and network has been instrumental in welcoming me back to the (literal) table.

So I gotta say it. Thank you to EVERYONE at LatinNation, GLAAD, the guests - All my cohosts - my lovely, beautiful cohosts - a special shoutout to the WRITER(s!) and the CREW below the line, lights, sound, HMU, PAs, ADs Social Media Staff - I'm not getting into names (sorry to Bruno, Andres, Luis, Aura, Enrique, Robbie and and) as I will forget people but YOU, yes YOU reading this from the show, THANK YOU!

And to my first manager who sent me in to get my hosting chops, you know who you are: nothin' but love.

I'm going to let this be a happy post. Because it's no secret that the politics around the Hispanic/Latinx community right now is terrifying, so I will say this. I SEE you my family. I've listened to countless hours of your stories of courage, triumph, and overcoming. Earning your degrees while picking fruit with your parents. Surviving human trafficking just to help COMBAT IT. Moving from war-torn countries to try to find peace here, working harder than most for it. And then walking me to my car late at night - with a smile and broken English, to make sure I get there safely.

YOU ARE THE BEST OF AMERICA. Don't FREAKIN' forget it. I have been made better because you exist.
