A few months ago, on the precipice of her inclusion in the @sfmoma SECA exhibition, my dear old friend @thehouseofhennessy had a vast, bright, ghostly studio at @headlandsarts to make work in for a few months. I’ve been shooting studio visits for artists and it’s my favorite sort of photography yet-a commingling of odes to people I admire, an observation of their creative process, details, environments and tools. I am so proud of this woman and her work in the world; she weaves together grief and history and death and the art of living in ways she is being rightfully recognized for more and more.
