Just finished @fairyloot edition of Heavenly Bodies by Imani Erriu… and I did very nearly throw this book across the room at the end after yelling at the characters for the last seven chapters so of course it gets a 4.75 stars from me.

I knew I would fall in love with this book when I started reading what ideas each Star (an immortal god) represented, things like justice, love and lies were grouped together, giving each Star positive and negative elements demonstrating that no one is perfect. Not even gods.

Elara and Enzo’s powerful love rose off the page in beautiful spicy smutty goodness. I’m someone who loves a good worship romance… so this was especially fun for me to read. The side characters were equally wonderful and fully fleshed out!

Overall… my one comment is that Elara made a very foolish decision at the end at the twist… and made it a reverse of the typical “villain has hero tied up but takes his or her time explaining their reasoning only for the hero to escape” situation and they definitely could’ve avoided it. Oh well… now I’m hooked waiting for November for the second installment!
