Happy birthday @anthony.bellomo thank you for helping me to build such a beautiful life @clovebrookfarm everyday! Here’s to many more birthdays and years together!
#happyday

I’ll be honest, I used to be so damn insecure about my arm.

Post stage 1, I questioned if I made the right decision with going through bottom surgery. All the open wounds, the freshness of those wounds, I was truly disgusted not going to lie. I never wanted to touch it. First time I had to wash my arm in the shower, I almost passed out- luckily my mom was there with me for that. Having to wrap and conceal my arm, my leg, my penis, every. single. day. For months- to a year. I asked myself if all of this was truly worth it. I didn’t have an answer at that time, but I knew I needed to just stick through the process. (And there was also no going back😂 so that was my only option anyway).

I never wanted to go out in public with my arm. I was very self conscious. To this day, I always know when someone looks/glances at it. But it’s different now compared to then- solely because I gained confidence with it. I needed time to adjust. To realize that this was my norm now. I hated having to wear a sun protectant sleeve in the first year because I knew that just drew more attention to me- people would ask what happened, etc.

The way I worked on this insecurity- I would go to the gym without wearing a sleeve. It forced me to get comfortable with seeing it and being in a public setting as well. As I got more comfortable, I started going out at night without long sleeves or a bandage on. After a year, I stopped wearing my sun protectant sleeve and let the sun do its thing (as I have w every other scar on my body).

I’m VERY pleased with how my scar has faded and how it looks now. I rubbed vitamin E oil with shea butter lotion on it every single day (still do), wore a silicone sleeve to bed for 2 years every single night (got this from my OT), alongside the sun exposure. I don’t think twice about my arm now. I also do NOT regret bottom surgery by any means. I just needed time to do its thing- that’s why I always say to stay patient.

I can tattoo over it if I want- so many people ask this. I don’t plan to right now, nor do I feel the need to. I’ve grown to love my scar and for what it always reminds me of.

Idrk why I share all this tbh. Just showing u im human too.

😂 Mazda’s new CX-6e can literally broadcast custom messages outside the car, and reviewers discovered it will even say swear words.
⠀
The feature is called External Announcement and uses a front-mounted speaker to turn the electric SUV into something resembling a rolling megaphone.
⠀
Drivers can type their own messages through the massive 26.45-inch 5K touchscreen, save announcements, and play them for people outside the vehicle.
⠀
That means the system can be used for legitimate warnings or greetings, but testing has also shown that considerably less polite messages can make it through.
⠀
Underneath the weird tech, the CX-6e is a rear-wheel-drive EV with 190 kW of power, a 78 kWh LFP battery, and up to 484 km of WLTP range in Australian specification.
⠀
Mazda probably intended the external speaker to make communication easier, but giving drivers a customizable loudspeaker also creates some pretty obvious road-rage possibilities.
⠀
Would you actually use this feature responsibly, or would your CX-6e be yelling at people within the first week? 😂
⠀
What are your thoughts? 🤔💭

This makes me so happy.

#repost @cnn: New York City’s Central Park horse-drawn carriage industry is nearing its end after Mayor Zohran Mamdani and City Council Speaker Julie Menin reached a deal on legislation that aims to abolish the carriage rides.

Menin is expected to bring legislation to the council floor for a vote this month, a spokesperson told CNN.

The move comes after years of criticism from animal rights advocates who charge that the horses are overworked, get easily scared and live in inadequate stables with drivers flouting city regulations. Horse and carriage owners have denied the the claims, arguing the animals are well cared for and the stables are up to code.

The death of 18-year-old tourist Romanch Mahajan, who was killed after jumping from a runaway horse-drawn carriage in Central Park last summer, renewed calls to ban the century-old attraction. Mahajan is believed to be the first person to have died in a carriage accident since the rides were introduced more than 150 years ago, according to the industry’s labor union and the Central Park Conservancy, which manages the park.
