The Milwaukee Brewers just won their first World Series title, but they are still worth less than the @mlb average.⁣ ⁣ Under billionaire owner Mark Attanasio, the Brewers have built a championship-winning team without one of baseball's biggest payrolls, relying on player development, scouting and analytics.⁣ ⁣ As the chart shows, both the Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays have more than doubled in value over the past decade, despite remaining below the league average.⁣ ⁣ Read more about this story at the link in bio.

AWKWARD SILENCE: NYC DAs have no answers when pressed over a new report alleging they reduced charges to protect illegal immigrants from deportation. The new 22-page House Judiciary Committee report alleges the city’s district attorneys used “immigration-safe” plea deals and instructed prosecutors to avoid certain convictions that could trigger deportation. At a Manhattan press conference, a reporter presses three top New York officials about the practice. One DA shrugs before the event quickly moves on to other questions. The report also details allegations about how prosecutors documented certain offenses.
