Growing up without a dependable father figure can mean figuring out many of life’s everyday skills on your own. That’s exactly what inspired Rob Kenney to create the YouTube channel Dad, How Do I? in 2020. After experiencing his own father leaving the family when he was just 14, Kenney decided to become the kind of supportive presence he once needed himself.

Through simple, heartfelt videos, he teaches viewers everything from shaving and ironing a shirt to jump-starting a car, installing a shelf, wearing a suit, and cooking basic meals. But what makes his content special goes beyond the practical advice. Kenney speaks to his audience with warmth and encouragement, often reminding viewers that he believes in them and is proud of them.

For millions of people, Dad, How Do I? has become more than a tutorial channel. It’s a comforting corner of the internet where people can learn useful skills while feeling supported along the way. ❤️

Save this for the next time you need a little guidance, or share it with someone who could use some wholesome fatherly advice.
