“Too young”, “too old”, “too risky” to be prescribed hormone treatments… These are just some of the things women are told when seeking help for their hormone health. So many women are being refused hormone treatments - progesterone, estradiol and testosterone - which they both need and want. Many women are still being wrongly told their symptoms are “normal”, that they’re imagining them or that hormone treatments are too “dangerous”. Often without a proper discussion about the evidence or their individual circumstances. For my Halloween live Q&A on my YouTube, I asked you to share some of the frightening things you’ve been told about your hormones so I could separate fact from fiction. I’ve shared five of the many questions I responded to here, and there are many more which you can watch on my YouTube channel, Dr Louise Newson. Link in bio. I’d love to know, what’s the most frightening thing you’ve ever been told about your hormones or hormone treatments?
I was just driving around when I happened to stumble upon this beautiful little spot. It’s usually so quiet on weekends, with hardly anyone around, making it the perfect place for a little photo shoot. 🤍 October has been treating us to some lovely weather, although somehow it seems to rain almost every weekend. I was hoping to explore some new places tomorrow, but the forecast isn’t looking too promising. I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer. I’m already missing those golden autumn afternoons, when the sun is warm, the light is beautiful, and everything feels just a little more magical. ☀️🍂 . . Btw my car is still in shop😥 It’s taking much longer than expected 😓 . . #nylonlegs #nylonlover #chicoutfit #silkyhair #elegantlook
