"Cancel culture" has hindered growth for a number of people and also it doesn't allow people to learn from their mistakes depending on the reason they are being "canceled".

I think the ppl who get “cancelled” on a mass scale to the point where it puts a hold on their career usually deserve it bc majority of the time it is something heinous or criminal. Ppl who consider young adults online “cancelling” ppl for minor things as substantial don’t recognize that those critiques quite literally do nothing to block their careers and do not reach the public.
