Getting too busy is great, so they say (I don’t like being overwhelmed with creative projects, but that’s another topic for another day). But when you get busy, in order to grow your business you have to scale up. Either by raising prices or building a team. To be honest I hate both of those options haha. I don’t want to raise my prices because I know what it’s like to be an artist and I don’t want to price people out. I don’t want to hire people (too late) because it just sounds STRESSFUL af (spoiler alert: it kinda is). So instead of choosing one of these options, I have chosen both. Because I’m crazy. But my hope is that I can continue to offer options for everyone. I REALLY want to make a business model work where I am working with indie artists and labels and people who are truly passionate about their art, while also making a decent living and maybe giving opportunities to fellow creatives along the way. With all that being said, I have assembled a team that I believe embodies the Mossflower spirit: be nice and make cool shit. For a limited time, we’re offering the old prices for mmv’s directed by one of the directors on our roster. And don’t worry, we have some more opportunities coming up for freebies and other fun stuff as I continue to find ways to offer artists alternatives.
