🌱 RE-ROOTING AGROECOLOGY 🌱
This week we’re launching our new campaign to ‘Re-Root Agroecology’, in service to the movement as a reminder of what it means to use the term and why it holds so much power.
Agroecology is a grassroots social movement and site of political struggle, and to strip it from its social and political context risks leaving it vulnerable to being co-opted not only by large agribusiness corporations, but also by the far-right.
You can read more about why we’re launching this campaign, as well our full ‘Re-Rooting Agroecology’ statement, in our latest blog post. Just follow the link in our bio and click on the above image 🔗
🎥 Stay tuned this week as we share a series of films which delve deeper into different aspects of agroecology as a movement; including why agroecology is anti-capitalist, anti-racist, in support of marginalised and diverse genders and embedded in the grassroots of our communities.
🌱 It’s time to #ReRootAgroecology! Support our campaign by sharing our posts and helping us spread the word!

Yes! Absolutely a philosophy, a value system. The social and community side is not considered enough.

Yes! It is sooo important to root agroecology in its anti-capitalist, indigenous, and peasant origins. Something the scientist and policy makers love to forget
