Grindr is training its AI on your photos, your age, and your taps by default, without asking. This video shows where the app buried the off switch.

The stakes are particularly high on an app like Grindr. Numerous countries criminalize same-sex relations, so being outed through your data can be dangerous.

In 2021, Norway’s privacy regulator fined Grindr for sharing user data with advertisers without valid consent.

The same year, Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill, then the general secretary of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, resigned after a Catholic news site said it obtained commercially available records of when and where devices had used Grindr, and correlated one to him.

And last month, Grindr agreed to pay £26 million to settle UK users’ claims from UK users who alleged the app shared their personal information (in some cases including HIV status) with outside companies. The company admitted no liability.

Grindr’s AI, trained on your data by default, now powers EDGE—a premium subscription the company has tested at prices as much as $350 a month.

Think you’ve cracked the pattern? Put your answer to the test and drop it in the comments.

Get it right and stand a chance to win exciting prizes!

this is how life has looked like the past few months (not glamorous at all 😂)

building a house has tested us in ways we never imagined, but somehow, through all of the short nights, tears, and exhaustion, we never forgot to laugh, to dance, and just go through it all together.

happy birthday to the guy who can build anything and make anything (and everything!) happen @joshllanto! every day i thank God that i married the right person 💛

I collaborated with @getsongful to make Tony his very own personalized song, and let’s just say… I think it was a HIT! 😂❤️🎶

Well, the secret is officially out! Now you all know that Tony calls me his Snugglesaurus! 🦖💕🤣 Yes, you heard that right! LOL!

I wanted to surprise him with something silly, sweet, and completely US! And judging by his reaction, I think it’s safe to say he absolutely LOVED it! 🥹❤️

But I’ll let you be the judges… What do you guys think? Did I nail this surprise or what?! 😂🎶💕

Urgent concern for Reza Zanganeh and Hamid Kazemi.

According to reports from inside Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, both men have been transferred to solitary confinement, raising fears for their safety and concerns about a possible imminent execution.

Reza Zanganeh, 27, faces a death sentence. His case was reportedly sent to the Supreme Court, but the outcome of his appeal remains unclear. His relatives have rejected the accusations against him.

Precise information about Hamid Kazemi’s case remains unavailable. The report shared does not confirm a death sentence against him.

We call for an immediate halt to any execution, clear information about both men’s situation, and access to their lawyers and families.

Don’t stay silent. Be their voice.
