This is not the news we wanted to deliver. As you know, in January 2024, we increased our prices to reflect the cumulative rise in inflation. Since 2018, inflation in the UK has risen significantly, with consumer prices increasing by over 20% during this period.

Shortly after we raised our prices, the cost of cacao butter doubled overnight - something we had not anticipated. Since then, it has risen again and is now 215% more expensive than before the initial spike. To continue operating, we have no choice but to increase our prices again.

There are cacao butter shortages once more this year. Unlike some companies, we have not stockpiled cacao butter, which means we may face periods of limited availability.

We have included a list comparing our price per gram to some of the main players so you can make an informed decision moving forward.

It’s also important to note that cacao butter now costs over 200% more than coconut oil, a key ingredient in other natural deodorants on the market.

We want to thank you for your incredible support despite these challenges. We understand if you can no longer afford Cacao Pow Deo Bar. There are some other brilliant brands out there that might be more affordable - the ones that don’t encourage you to collect cases or scents. 😉
