WHAT IS A BOND? 💰

Think of a bond as lending money to a company or government.

You lend them money, and in return, they may pay you regular interest and repay your principal at maturity, according to the bond’s terms.

📌 Example:
You invest ₹10,000 in a bond offering 8% annual interest.

You could receive ₹800 per year as interest, if the bond pays that rate and the issuer meets its obligations.

But remember:
⚠️ Bonds are not risk-free. There can be default risk, interest rate risk, and liquidity risk.

Understand the risk before you invest!
