One of the best racing movies ever made, and an incredible true story about two men who refused to give up. Ford v Ferrari (2019) tells the story of how Ford took on Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most demanding races in the world. After a deal to buy Ferrari fell apart, Henry Ford II decided to beat the Italian company where it mattered most: on the racetrack. Ford brought in legendary car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), who teamed up with fearless British driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) to develop the Ford GT40. After years of failures, Ford finally defeated Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966, with its cars finishing in first, second, and third place. But the real story behind that victory was even more complicated than the movie suggests. Miles was denied the win despite leading for much of the race, making the finish one of the most controversial moments in racing history. Christian Bale is another reason the film works so well. After gaining around 40 pounds to play Dick Cheney in Vice (2018), he lost approximately 70 pounds to portray Ken Miles in Ford v Ferrari (2019). But the transformation went beyond his appearance. Bale studied the real Ken Miles, learned his accent, and trained at a racing school to capture the driver’s personality and mannerisms. The result is one of his most convincing performances, bringing Miles’ stubbornness, dry humor, and obsession with racing to life. His chemistry with Matt Damon makes the film even better. Their characters feel like real friends who argue, push each other, and share a genuine love for what they do. With incredible racing sequences, practical effects, and a story about talent clashing with corporate politics, Ford v Ferrari is much more than a movie about cars. It’s about the people willing to risk everything to prove what they can do. Have you seen it?

SPOT WHAT’S MISSING! 🔍 Remember those childhood games where two pictures looked exactly the same, but something was secretly missing? We’re bringing that nostalgia back—with an artistic twist! This time, we’re putting your observation skills to the test with Vincent van Gogh’s iconic masterpiece, The Starry Night (1889). Five tiny details have disappeared. They’re subtle, cleverly hidden, and definitely not easy to spot! At Desizn Circle, we believe that great design begins with great observation. The ability to notice what others overlook is what makes a designer think differently. 👀 Your challenge: Study both images, find all five missing details, and tell us how many you spotted! Can you find all 5 without zooming in? Comment your score out of 5! 👇 DESIZN CIRCLE INTERNATIONAL Training the eye. Hundreds of thousands of people marched across France on Saturday, October 17, in the largest mobilization since student protests over education conditions and the cost of living began last month. Authorities estimated roughly 550,000 participants nationwide, including about 110,000 in Paris; organizers claimed closer to 800,000. What began as calls for better school resources and relief from rising prices quickly descended into some of the worst urban unrest the country has seen in years, with looting, arson, and clashes with police dominating the aftermath. In Paris, the main gathering formed at Place de la République, where the statue of Marianne was draped in a yellow vest, before the march moved toward Place de Clichy. The protests grew out of high-school actions that started in mid-September, particularly in working-class suburbs, over overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages, dilapidated buildings, and unequal resources. They expanded drawing unions, parents, teachers, and remnants of the Yellow Vests movement against declining public services and living costs that many say feel increasingly out of reach. While the majority of demonstrators marched peacefully, fringe groups engaged in violence. Police deployed tear gas, stun grenades, and water cannons. Cars and street furniture were set alight, shops were looted, and public buildings were targeted. Video circulating even show a Haitian flag waving alongside Palestinian and French flags on streets near Boulevard de la Madeleine. President Emmanuel Macron addressed the nation Sunday condemning the violence as unjustified and saying the images provoked “anger and shame.” He distinguished legitimate peaceful grievances from those seeking chaos, stopped short of declaring a state of emergency President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that “France is burning,” blaming immigration: “The immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country. Close your Borders and take control, before it is too late!” Source: sansazb @cnn @phoenixtv_news #lunionsuite #haitianamerican
