Last night I got the chance to finally check out @mariscossanpedro with some friends to belatedly celebrate my birthday. I hate that I didn’t make it in sooner. Between the ten of us, we got to try a good cross-section of the menu, and literally everything I tried from the drinks to the aguachile to the tuna tostada to the whole fried snapper to the Sonoran octopus dog to the desserts (and so much more unpictured food) was delicious.

Fortuitously, there was an actual birthday in the house. James Beard Award-nominated @chef_marcosascencio (and my former coworker from a lifetime ago) was also celebrating his birthday while simultaneously running his omakase menu at the chef’s counter. Thanks for the great hospitality and the delightful meal!

Can’t wait to come back to try more of the dinner menu and check out their brunch!
