Look how annoyed he is that I'm up and starting my day 😅

Marmalade returned home today 🖤🧡

Thank you as always fur all the kind messages and comments, we’re starting to feel a bit more “normal” this week… how’s everyone else doing? ❤️‍🩹

The things you’ve stopped noticing are the things someone else has spent their whole life praying for. 🎂🙏

A birthday cake. A family that sings to you. A home where people actually remember the day you were born. For most of us, those are so normal that we barely think twice about them. Some years we don’t even feel like celebrating.

But for a lot of people in this world, those simple moments never came. No candles, no gifts, no one making a big deal about them. Not because they didn’t deserve it, but because nobody was there to give it to them.

That’s what makes gratitude so powerful. It reminds you that the “ordinary” parts of your life are someone else’s dream. The meal on your table. The people who call to check on you. The family that shows up for you, flaws and all.

And it goes both ways. You never know how much a small act of love can mean to someone who’s never had it. Something that costs you very little could be the moment they remember for the rest of their life.

Appreciate what you have, and never underestimate what you can give.

Yesterday I posted these two holding each other. Today I show you what happened after.
I’ve spent most of my life feeling like I don’t fit. I don’t belong. But without realizing it I made my little family and they took me in as part of them.
Some of us only feel whole when we know we are loved and accepted by more than just those who look like us. When we know we could make them feel loved, and gave them a home they never had to question or feel unsafe in.
