TV actress Sonarika Bhadoria, on Siddharth Alambayan’s Hautterfly podcast, said:

“Main toh bikini pehen loon, usi par bahut badi controversy ho jati hai. Aur main pehenungi! Kisi ke baap ka kya ja raha hai? Main pehenungi. Main yeh nahi kahungi ki, ‘Oh, my husband does not have an issue with it.’ Main kyun bolun? My father, my husband, I don’t have an issue with it. Toh main pehenungi. Tumhein jo karna hai, tum karo.”

When Siddharth asked, “You were playing Parvati then…” Sonarika responded:

“No, it was after that. I remember media people calling me day in and day out. ‘Arre ma’am, kya bolna chahte ho? Kya bol rahe ho? Arre, people are trolling.’ Parvati ne aisa kaise… I did play a character, but tell me something, Siddharth, me wearing whatever kapda (clothes), how does it define my character? Aur kya pehnoongi? Yeh salwar suit thodi na pehen ke jaungi bhai? Paani mein bheegega, mere ko hi dooba dega.”
