In Laurent’s own words: “After graduating from the Beaux-Arts, I spent six years in Montreal as an art director while also being part of a DJ collective. Moving to Paris, I worked as a creative independent before shifting into brand consulting, where my passion for hi-fi led to the creation of Horizon System.
Inspired by the golden age of hi-fi and modern design, Horizon System redefines high-fidelity spaces. Through minimalist furniture and custom product design, it offers aesthetic, functional, and acoustic solutions. Each piece is meticulously crafted in Paris by the award-winning studio @perronetfreres . My work also explores immersive sound installations that blend audio and design, creating unique spaces for listening.
Being part of this new era of hi-fi is exciting, and collaborating with passionate people makes it even more rewarding. A great hi-fi system isn’t just about sound, it’s about bringing people together to share a true listening experience.”

AA—0104 House in Hayashisaki Matsue Beach, Akashi 明石市 Japan 🇯🇵 — Situated along a coastal street in Akashi, Southern Japan, Akio Isshiki Architects transformed a 50-year-old structure into a serene mixed-use space, blending a home and a restaurant within a once-dark, aging wooden building. Designed with a nod to traditional Japanese dwellings, the renovation preserved the building’s original character while integrating features like handcrafted tiles, inspired by the region’s tile-making heritage, and locally crafted wooden furniture, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The restaurant, @babbulkund takes its inspiration from the sea, offering curry dishes presented on blue-glazed plates with vibrant turmeric rice. As the sun sets, the neon sign outside mirrors the warm glow of the evening sky. Upstairs, an open-plan living area boasts stunning sea views, with warm-toned surfaces and rustic wooden beams that honor the building’s past. Natural light filters through shoji screens, creating a tranquil atmosphere that ties the interior to the surrounding environment. AA—0107 The home and listening space of Industrial Designer Philipp von Lintel, Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪 — Philipp’s HiFi system is the result of a journey that began with his early passion for sound in his teenage years. Inspired by Devon Ojas’ unique approach to speaker design, Philipp returned to speaker building two years ago, reigniting his deep appreciation for music. His system is built around a 15” Altec 416 driver, carefully housed in a custom cabinet that sits between the Altec 614 and 612 designs. Through conversations with audio experts such as Werner Jagusch and Alfred Bokrand, as well as resources like the Jelabs blogspot, he refined his setup, which includes the rare Altec 311-60 horn sourced all the way from Canada. The sound of Philipp’s system reflects his dedication to achieving natural, immersive audio and a rich listening experience, allowing listeners to appreciate the full detail of each note without distraction. As Philipp explains: “I used to DJ in my teens, but a couple of years ago I realized I had lost the ability to truly listen to music, which I think is a common issue these days. A big part of this problem comes from the low quality of music, starting with platforms like Spotify, the poor DACs in computers and smartphones, and ending with small, inadequate speakers. I really wanted to experience music again the way it should be. AA—0105 A House Designed for Living With Cats and Dogs, Kamakura 鎌倉 Japan 🇯🇵 — Roovice ルーヴィス is a Japanese architectural firm based in Tokyo and Yokohama, known for its design ethos that blends nostalgia with modern innovation, creating spaces that are both practical and sustainably crafted. For this project they designed a home specifically for a family living with cats and dogs. The walls feature a mix of sprayed textures reminiscent of exterior finishes, with some areas left in their original state. This intentional mix of finishes creates a relaxed, slightly “mismatched” aesthetic. Special features include pathways built into the doors for the pets and a custom catwalk. AA—0115 TEILE × Alpha Industries × MISBHV Sound System and Installation, Galerie Hussenot, Paris, France 🇫🇷 — This year at Paris Fashion Week, a collaboration between @teile_elektronik and @alphaindustries_europe took place at Galerie Hussenot. Alongside the sound system, a dedicated garment collection by Alpha Industries was displayed, complementing the futuristic yet industrial vibe of the installation. The sound system, designed by the creative head of TEILE @rampa_keinemusik and fashion entrepreneur @tomekwirski from @misbhv combines puristic audio technology with high-fashion aesthetics. The speakers, hand made in Freiburg, feature brushed stainless steel sides engraved with MISBHV’s signature monogram, elevating them to the status of functional art. — Danke schön Cornelius and the whole crew at TEILE for helping bring this post to life ✨🙏 — 🎵 Music: Nosaj Thing & Jacques Greene - ‘Too Close (feat. AA—0111 The home and listening space of legal researcher and lecturer Camille @si.len.cio located in Switzerland 🇨🇭 — In Camille’s own words: “My love for interior design is probably a logical continuity of my passion for art and aesthetics in general. I live in a loft in a former watch factory—a long-time dream of mine that allowed me to explore the possibilities of open spaces. The main challenge was to preserve the industrial vibe and at the same time make it feel homey and heartwarming. Music plays a key role in achieving this. One thing that my wife and I really value is that our entire home is now the listening space, creating a very different experience than having the sound confined to one room. For us, playing a record is a ritual, with music defining our home as much as our furniture does. Our equipment is quite minimalistic but efficient and aesthetically in line with our interior. AA—0106 The home of Marina Montresor and research group C/O Bardi · Florence, Italy 🇮🇹 — Located on the piano nobile (Italian for “noble floor”) of Palazzo Bardi, this apartment serves as both the residence of architect Marina Montresor and the Italian base of operations for the research group C/O Bardi, which she co-founded in 2023. Known online by its phonetic translation, @see_oh_bar_dee it functions as a gallery on demand, a residency for artists and designers, a home for Marina, and much more. This impressive space features a full kitchen, studio, lounge, and library, all framed by large windows and adorned with stunning frescoes on the walls and ceiling. Historically, in 1573, Palazzo Bardi was the meeting place of the Camerata di Bardi, a group of humanists whose discussions contributed to the development of opera. Today, the apartment is available for short-term stays and longer creative residencies through ‘Offsites,’ a collection of locations curated by @_numeroventi_ an interdisciplinary residency, boutique apartment, and research platform based in Florence. As Marina explains: “Almost 20 years later, I am one of the very (very) few people who live in the palazzo, and I barely know the names of the owners of the other 21 (sigh) apartments. I live in three identically enormous, impossible to heat, hard to furnish, decorated rooms: each of them ready to host any action, any personality and lifestyle, without prescribing any.
