NOTHING LIKE TRAINING WITH PIECES OF HISTORY 💪

These York Globe dumbbells are some of my favorites. You just can’t beat that old-school look and feel! 💯

Do you trust this government with your $1.6 BILLION?

Ottawa has committed up to that amount to buy into AI company Cohere. But when Vassy Kapelos asked Minister Evan Solomon what percentage Canadians would own, he wouldn’t disclose it. Commercial sensitivity. Sound familiar? That’s what’s they said with Volkswagen and many others.

Look at the record of federal and provincial governments backing companies with public money:

🔴 Northvolt: Quebec lost $270 million invested in the Swedish parent company. (globalnews.ca)

🔴 Lion Electric: Quebec lost approximately $140 million, according to The Canadian Press. (montreal.citynews.ca)

🔴 Recyclage Carbone Varennes: Quebec’s $117 million equity stake was lost, alongside further losses on public loans. The assets sold for just $17.5 million. (montreal.citynews.ca)

🔴 Medicago: Ottawa lost a $150 million non-refundable vaccine advance. (search.open.canada.ca)

🔴 Novavax: After Canada terminated its vaccine agreement, the company booked US$575.7 million from previously recorded payments and liabilities as revenue. It refunded US$28 million. (sec.gov)

And they get away with it? Vast? “Ok”. It’s not ok. Disclose the deal or you don’t get to use our money.

Forget the usual Mexican food – this little family-run gem in Northcote is bringing authentic Mexican flavours to Melbourne!

Meet @chepanorthcote a new Mexican spot serving up traditional recipes with a simple philosophy: good ingredients, homemade tortillas and absolutely no shortcuts!

One thing I love about discovering small family-run businesses is getting to experience food made with a little more heart.

Their Taco de Bistec is a perfect example – tender, juicy beef sourced from local butcher Grange Meat Co., served on their house-made tortillas with fresh salsa, onion and coriander. A squeeze of lime brings everything together! Fresh, simple and full of flavour.

And what’s a Mexican food adventure without an ice-cold Jarritos to wash it all down?

It’s lovely to see a small family business bringing authentic Mexican food and traditional cooking to Melbourne, especially when homemade tortillas and quality local ingredients are part of the experience.

If you’re a Mexican food lover, add this one to your Melbourne foodie list!

Tag your taco-loving friend who needs to try this place with you!
