My ADHD-friendly gravity dispenser might look a little crazy, but so does buying more black beans when you already have six cans. Checking the cabinets before you shop doesn't help if you can't actually see what's in them. And a thorough check means moving things around, keeping a mental inventory of what you need, comparing that to what you've found, and holding onto all of that in your head long enough to get it on a shopping list. That's a lot of friction and a lot of opportunities to get sidetracked for an ADHD brain. And then I have to rummage through that chaos again when it's time to cook? No thanks. So I made the shelf do the work for me. Now, I can immediately see what we have, and an empty row makes it super obvious when something is out. Plus when I'm cooking I find what I need in literally one second. The best part is how easy it is to KEEP the cabinet organized. There are zero decisions to make because everything already has a specific spot and no temptation to squeeze a can into whatever random open space I see first. So it actually stays this way without any discipline, willpower or remembering required. That's what I look for in an ADHD-friendly system. #ADHDFriendlyHome #PantryOrganization #ADHDSystems #ADHDLife #ExecutiveFunctioning
